Prodrome

A film by Jason Snow

About

Like Home Alone with teeth. Tom wakes up to a violent home invasion, but things are not as they seem. The house shifts. Shadows come to life. And, he is forced through a tortuous gauntlet until he learns the ultimate truth in his new reality: "don't trust your eyes."

Director's Statement

Prodrome means the first symptoms of a major upcoming disease and it describes this movie perfectly. I wanted to make a film that puts you in the middle of a nightmare without handing you a map. You're supposed to feel disoriented, like the ground keeps shifting beneath you, because that's what the character's going through.

A lot of the inspiration came from seeing a friend go through a similar struggle. It's about showing the violent internal conflicts that people go through every day and are still forced to go about their lives wearing a facade. I come from a background in TikTok skits and live streams that get millions of views monthly. I brought that mentality from online content to this movie and made sure that every second counts.
